John Brown is a senior at Round Lake High School. Originally hailing from New Jersey, Brown moved to the Land of Lincoln in 2002. With a passionate interest of meeting new people and dedicating to the community, Brown participates in various activities in and out of school. Brown is a part of Panther Crew, National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Journalism Honor Society, Speech Team, Varsity Tennis, Northern Lake County Leadership Team, and Rotary. Out of school, Brown participates in an annual tennis match to combat domestic violence in which proceeds go to help out the women’s shelter in Waukegan, Illinois.

After high school, Brown wants to major in Broadcast Journalism with a concentration in business news. Brown has been invested in journalism since the age of five after watching a newscast of Allison Rosati and Warner Sanders on NBC. Brown holds his own YouTube channel to covering news stories across Lake County and the country. Fun fact, Brown served as an extra on the series “For The People” which airs on ABC 7. Because of his interest and love with New York City, he hopes to move to the Big Apple to further his career in the industry.
