Christmastime is the perfect time to curl up with a hot beverage and a cozy blanket and watch some festive movies.

It’s the most wonderful time to snuggle up and watch some of the best Christmas movies! With the holidays coming up, Christmas spirit is starting to spread. Here are the top five Christmas movies to make sure you watch before the season is over:

 

  • “The Polar Express”: A 2004 film about a boy who is doubting the existence of Santa Clause, so he takes a memorable train ride to the North Pole. While on the train, he and other children who join him learn about friendship, and Christmas Spirit.   
  • “Home Alone”: A classic Christmas movie that everyone watches, it’s about a bratty eight-year-old boy named Kevin who ends up getting left behind after his family leaves for a Christmas vacation in France. Kevin takes the advantage to have fun in his house alone, but when danger creeps with two  men try to steal from his house, the boy does everything he can to to keep him and the house safe.
  • “The Christmas Chronicles” : This movie tells the story of a sister and brother, Kate and Teddy Pierce , whose plan to catch Santa Claus on camera turns into an unexpected trip that only most kids can dream about.
  • “The Nightmare Before Christmas”: Jack Skellington is the king of Halloween Town. One day he comes across some sort of Christmas Town and decides to combine the two holidays so he can reign supreme in the Hinterlands. However, his plan puts Santa Claus in jeopardy and creates nightmares for good little boys and girls everywhere. 
  • “Elf”: A boy named Buddy is mistakenly moved to the North Pole where he is raised by Santa’s elves. As an adult, Buddy has the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, so he goes on a mission in New York City in search of his real father, spreading the true spirit of Christmas everywhere he goes.
