Lomeli’s is a rosticeria located on Cedar Lake Road right here in Round Lake. Rosticeria in English means a chicken shop, but what makes Lomeli’s stand out from all the others in the area is that this chicken Mexican restauran also offers very good tacos and more.  Lomeli’s was founded by owner Sergio Lomeli in 2006 and has been a part of Round Lake ever since.

Lomeli’s is open  9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through the week and 9 a.m to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. While Lomeli’s does not take reservations, there are plenty of tables that make getting a seat relatively easy. There are televisions, free parking and has WI-FI, but you will have to ask for password. The atmosphere was clean most of the tables were clean and plates were also clean. My family and I did not notice anything unusual.

The service was good, as our server always made sure that I had what I needed. We were able to snack on chips and soup before our entrees. The wait time for the entrees was fast. I had a cold Coke and some roasted chicken, while most of my family had chips.  Other items on Lomeli’s menu include tacos, tortas, burritos, gorditas, mariscos, quesadillas, sopes, and desserts. You can also get whole roasted chicken with your own sides, which is what I had. I had rice and beans as the sides, which I highly recommend.

While the presentation of the chicken was a bit crowded, it was still neat, and it had no effect on the tasting of the food, anyway. The chicken was well roasted and had a strong, juicy flavor and good roasted skin. The sides were organized and the beans and rice had a good strong flavor. The total price of my order alone was $14.99 without taxes and for my whole family was $26.04 without taxes.

In overall this place is a good place to spend the night with your family as I highly recommend this place to go.
